CHAPTER 30
*With Nick and Lana*
(Nick and Lana were sitting on the couch. Nick waited until Joe went upstairs so talk.)
Nick: (intertwining his fingers with hers) So, what do you want to watch?
Lana: A scary movie... (she smiles)
Nick: What movie?
Lana: Something that's not gory... more like a thriller.
Nick: Prom Night? [A.N Sadly I haven't seen it. But the critics said it was like Disturbia, and I love Disturbia. So yeah. Is it gory? Well let's just pretend its not if it is.]
Lana: Oh, haven't seen it.
Nick: It's really good. Let me put it in.
(Nick gets off the couch and grabs the DVD. He puts it into the player and sits back down on the couch. He grabs the DVD remote and presses play.)
Nick: Just letting you know, if you get scared I'm right here.
Lana: Sounds good. (she smiles)
(The movie starts and Nick and Lana are sitting by each other. A little into the movie, Lana gets freaked and grabs Nick's hand. He smiles and squeezes her hand to reassure her that he was there. It gets to a really scary part and Lana jumps towards Nick. He wraps his arms around her and kisses her forehead.)
Nick: It's ok... I'm here....
Lana: I know, that just surprised me... (she starts to pull away but Nick doesn't loosen his grip) Nick?
Nick: Yeah?
Lana: You gonna let go?
Nick: No, I wasn't planning on it. (he smiles)
Lana: (gives in) Ok... (she leans back into him and wraps her arms around his waist)
(The movie continues and Lana only gets scared a few times but each time Nick makes the most of it, pulling her close to him, squeezing her hand, everything. Its getting close to the end of the movie and its getting intense. [A.N Again I haven't seen it but I'm guessing that the end is intense... am I right?]. Lana is watching, not blinking at all when they hear a loud bang from upstairs. Lana screams and buries her face into Nick. He jumps and looks up.)
Nick: What the heck was that?
Lana: I don't know!
Nick: Well, Joe's room is above us... ok wow; I don't think I want to know.
Lana: Well, I am awake now...
Nick: You ok?
Lana: Yeah, that just surprised me a little bit... ok a lot.
Nick: Its ok it surprised me too.
Lana: Maybe we should stop watching the movie.
Nick: Good idea. We'll finish it later. (he turns off the TV) So what do you want to do?
Lana: I don't know... talk?
Nick: Sounds good.
Lana: So... I can't believe Kevin and Briana are getting married...
Nick: Oh I know, I remember when Kevin told us... I was in shock.
Lana: Nick?
Nick: Yeah?
Lana: Do you think... well... you and me will get married one day?
Nick: (smiles) I wouldn't dream of marrying anyone else. If we were older... I would marry you right now. I love you so much.
Lana: I love you too Nick. I don't ever want to lose you.
Nick: Hey we made it through 6 months of separation. If we can do that, we can do anything.
Lana: Good point. (she kisses his cheek)
Nick: You missed.
Lana: Huh?
Nick: (leans in and kisses her lips. She wraps her arms around his neck and kisses him back. He puts his hands on her waist and moves from her lips down her neck. She throws her head back and laughs)
Lana: Nick that tickles. (she opens her eyes and looks at the wall behind them when she sees a black spot moving on the wall) Nick, what's that?
Nick: (muffled voice) What's what?
Lana: On the wall!
Nick: (stops kissing her and looks behind them) It looks like a....
Lana: SPIDER! EW NICK KILL IT I HATE SPIDERS! [A.N Ok, you guys gotta think She's the Man here kk?]
Nick: I hate spiders too! (the both jump up and go to the end of the couch)
Lana: So? You're the man here! So, be a man and kill it!
Nick: But it's big!
Lana: SO?! I'm your girlfriend, you're supposed to protect me and I hate spiders so KILL IT!
Nick: Fine!
(He grabs his shoe off his foot and slowly eases towards the spider. He brings his shoe back and brings it forward as hard as he can, killing the spider.)
Nick: Ew... there are spider guts on my shoe...
Lana: MY HERO! (she throws her arms around him from behind and makes them both fall onto the couch)
Nick: That's me. (he smiles) Well, I think we've had enough excitement for one night... plus I'm getting tired.
Lana: Me too. (they sit up and Lana leans against Nick) Wake me up if Kevin and Briana come over.
Nick: I can do that. (he kisses her forehead.)
(Lana soon falls asleep in Nick's arms, thinking of the day when Nick could officially be hers... but for now, he was just her hero... and her amazing boyfriend.)
